2.5 & 3.3 MAXX SWAYBAR INSTALL

This new design is superior to our old version in many ways.  During our initial tests with the new 2.5 MAXX trucks we found that the old style swaybars simply would not work well with the longer suspension setup on these new trucks.  Rather than trying to come up with a way to modify the existing swaybars from the original MAXX trucks we decided to design something totally new aimed at performance rather than simplicity and cost.

MAKE SURE TO USE LOCTITE ON ALL METAL THREADS!!!

 

 
 

 

 

Contents:

2-Swaybar arms

2-flanged bushings

2-straight bushings

1-crosslink

2-assembled tie rod links

2-3x16mm button hex screws (attaching to bulkheads)

2-3x6mm button head screws (attaching crosslink to swaybars)

2-3x10mm button hex screws (attaching tie rods to swaybars)

2-3x12mm flat hex screws (attaching tie rods to lower arms)

4-3mm washers (to hold and support bushings)

1-2mm Allen key

 

Note: Make sure to remove two of the four screws holding the shock tower onto the bulkheads (first picture). This is where the flanged bushings sit. To prevent parts from coming loose and getting lost make sure to use loctite on all screws that thread into metal.

 

MAKE SURE TO USE LOCTITE ON ALL METAL THREADS!!!

 

We now offer a hardware replacement kit for our swaybars.  Looks like a few customers are still not using loctite when installing this product.  The hardware kit includes all screws, bushings and the center link as is available on the Swaybars page.

 
 

 

Mini-T Chassis installation.
MN002, MN022 & MN022S
 

This is a very straight forward installation.  Our chassis can be assembled before the install as shown in the picture below.  The 4.5x10 mm posts are supplied to be used for the stock servo.  When using any of our other servo mounts these posts are removed.
